San Diego Yoga Studio of Iyengar Yoga
Shri B.K.S. Iyengar
developed this method after more than sixty years of
practice and study, and is considered the foremost Yoga
teacher in the world. The method is precise and
integrates alignment, balance, strength and flexibility.
Yoga increases vitality, concentration and a sense of

The Restorative
Class
will be held every Tuesday. Emphasis on stress reduction and integrates the use
of many props. Not recommended for beginning students. Regular class fees apply.

Level I: Student can begin at anytime.
Most appropriate for those who are new to Iyengar Yoga, need a refresher
course, or enjoy a slower paced class.
Level I & II: A blend of both levels. Most appropriate for
those who have some foundation in yoga and are ready to move at a quicker
pace.
Level II: Slightly faster paced. Includes learning
beginning shoulder and head stands.
Level II & III: A full range of poses, including inversions and
backbends.
* To attend the two hour level II & III class, you must be an ongoing
student and have clearance from Jo |
About the Instructors at San Diego Yoga Studio

Jo Zukovich,
certified teacher,
started her yoga practice in 1970, has been studying Iyengar Yoga since
1980, began teaching in 1984 and co-founded the San Diego Yoga Studio.
She has traveled to India several times to study with the Iyengars. Jo's
devotion to Yoga comes through in her teaching.

Mike Zukovich,
certified teacher,
has practiced Iyengar Yoga since 1986, and co-founded the San Diego Yoga
Studio. He has travelled to India to study with the Iyengars.
Mike's teaching style reveals the simplicity and calmness found in yoga
asanas. He is a woodworker and loves to surf. |

Kim Imlay, certified teacher and co-owner of San Diego Yoga
Studio. She has been studying Iyengar Yoga since 1985. She
is a mother of three and active in a variety of sports. She enjoys the
personal accomplishment that Yoga brings to her life and extends that to
her students. |

Russ Imlay,
co-owner of San Diego Yoga Studio,
has been studying Iyengar Yoga since 2003. His humor and passion
for yoga comes through in his teaching. As an avid surfer he loves
the flexibility and benefits that yoga brings to his surfing and life. |

Barbara McDonald,
has been studying Iyengar Yoga since
1985 and has been teaching for over ten years. She is a certified
teacher who has been to India to study with the Iyengars. Barbara's
primary career is a Research Psychologist and university lecturer. She
believes the practice of Yoga can profoundly influence personal growth. |

Susane Ueland,
certified teacher, is a registered
nurse and has been an Iyengar student since 1990. She especially
enjoys the health benefits of yoga. |

Abbyann Sisk,
certified teacher, has been a student of Yoga since 1985, seriously
studying the Iyengar method since 1995. She enjoys a variety of
athletic activities, and finds Yoga a beneficial and necessary
complement to them. |

Ariane Hudson, certified
teacher, has taught Iyengar yoga in the San Diego area since 1976. She
has studied with the Iyengars in India several times, and has been
involved in the formal training and certification of Iyengar yoga
teachers since 1984. |

JoAnn Edwards, began
dancing professionally at the age of 15, and has been studying Iyengar
yoga since 1993. Today, she enjoys sharing the joy of movement and the
beauty of yoga with others. |

Amy Hyde,
a painter, has been studying Iyengar
yoga since 1986, began teaching in 1996. She is grateful for
the knowledge and faith that yoga has taught her. |

Saylor Wright, began studying Iyengar yoga in 1978, she is also
a hair stylist. She loves the beauty of yoga. |
 |
Susan Keiser, began practicing yoga in 1995, has been a
dedicated Iyengar student and practitioner since 1997. An
experienced teacher in other fields, she enjoys sharing her experience
and love of yoga with students. |

Nancy Phillips, certified teacher,
has enjoyed the benefits of yoga since 1993. Yoga has helped her
confidence and creativity with artistic endeavors and strengthening her
overall health. She brings an essence of calmness and energy to
class. |

Gillian Stahl,
certified teacher, a native San
Diegan, has studied Iyengar yoga since 1996, and completed an intensive three
year teacher training program at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of Los Angeles. |

Jessica Brinkman,
has been studying and practicing yoga since
1997. She has completed the IYASC’s three year teacher training program.
She finds divine inspiration in BKS Iyengar and his family, and has been
twice to India to study with them. |
