Yoga Studies Extension with Jill, CIYT

Yoga as We Age

BKS Iyengar wrote, “The body ages but the soul does not. By the power of will over mind, old age can be lived benevolently through yogic practices… People remind me of my age, but while practicing I am beyond my body and its age.” As we age, our body and our yoga practice changes. In this workshop we will explore some of the ways in which this happens and also celebrate our evolving understanding of yoga. Mr. Iyengar explained, “Even though age is telling upon me, I am still experiencing new feelings.”

Yoga Studies Series with Kim Imlay

Yoga Studies Series with Kim Yoga studies is designed to broaden our understanding of yoga. It’s an opportunity for students to ask questions, practice poses that they might find challenging, and explore an introduction to yogic philosophy.

Relaxation and Pranayama helps relieves fatigue, boost the immune system and can help with minor aches and pains. These asanas/poses help to obtain sound sleep and peace of mind, all with the use of props. This class is suitable for all levels*
